FIRST CLASS PORCELAIN PAINTER CERTIFIED BY NATION(Japan) |
Etsuko is a Japanese porcelain painter, who was born in 1961 and raised
Saitama city near Tokyo. She has been interested in many art form since
her teenage as her mother was oil painter. Her moter always encouraged
Etsuko in art as water color, oil painting, cloisonne and ceramic craft.
Every art form facinated her.
However, Etsuko chose to study literature at Meiji university, which she
also had been interested in.
After graduating from university, she worked as a trading secretary in
the import section of a company (Hitachi High Technology Co. Ltd.) in Tokyo.
It was nice experience for her to work with exciting people. During working
at the company, Etsuko got computer skill and English. In those days she
met porcelain painting as a hobby and fell in love with this fantastic
art. Almost at the same time she fell in love with Noboru who went to be
her husband and then she once leaved her business life to make her family.
After, while she raises her child, Etsuko came back to the art world and
started to learn porcelain painting in earnest at the porcelain painting
school in Tokyo. On the other hand, she attended several seminars of several
styles with world famous teaches. She loved all of them. Especially American
style, Modern technique and traditional Japanese technique charmed her.
In thoes days, she started her carrier as an porcelain artist, attending
competition and exhibition, sending the pictures of her art works to the
magazines. Then her porcelain art works were shown on the famuse porcelain
magazines several times and some works got prizes at the competition.
Now she is teaching porcelain painting not only in Japan but also in Asian
countries and U.S.A... Etsuko is always appreciate to do seminar and demonstration to share her
techniques with painters all over the world. That's why she used to visit conventions in the world. Please say "Hello"
or "Konnichiwa" to Etsuko if you met her by chance.
Etsuko's first book is to be published July 2011 from Japanese publisher.
